Just another exciting week in the Major League Baseball off-season. While many busy arguing about awards handed out for play during the past season, a couple of notable changes for the upcoming season may have been missed. During the last week, both the Marlins and the Blue Jays premiered new logos and uniforms.
The Marlins, sporting a new moniker and new stadium have debuted a new look as hot as Miami. Available in home white or black and road grey or orange, these festive uni's remind you that a subpar team doesn't mean subpar color. Like the active marlin that jumps around a festive M on your cap, you'll be jumping to the rhythm of the ballpark as you blend right into the beautiful Miami view. Careful, you may just catch a glove full of sunset!
The Blue Jays on the other hand have finally abandoned their black jerseys for something a bit more... blue. Yes, you'll never again be caught brushing off faint wisps of snow from your shoulder when you step out it this retro-inspired home white jersey. Stripes are in this year, so it's a perfect time to return to the handsome outline lettering of days gone by. Meanwhile, the updated and streamlined Blue Jay logo will keep you pressing into the future. Based on the purest maple nesting jay, this new look says, "I'm in no rush to reach the World Series, I was there in the in the early 90's, remember that?"
Ahh, feels good to look good.

I'm okay with the new jays outfits. I think the logo is kind of plain though. The Marlins, well, I've never been a fan of copy cats, or the dolphins...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I really like the Jays uni's now, except for the bird logo on the hat. I prefer letters. Speaking of which, I guess the Orioles have also updated a bit with a terrible, retro cartoon bird against a white front panel on their hats. Some things should be left in the past.
