A cinematic cheat sheet to "The Artist"

I've written previously, about how much I enjoyed the film The Artist. It's a must-see for the cinephile (incidentally, the same goes for the movie Hugo). If you aren't lucky enough to have this movie playing in a theater near you, see my recent netflix pix article. If you are lucky enough to have access to it, I recommend you see it soon -- or at least put it on your netflix queue -- and make sure you take a look at the Atlantic's cheat sheet to the film's cinematic references after the film. The movie is enjoyable whether or not you get the references but once you realize how many movies it pays homage to and how subtly it does so, you gain a whole new appreciation for it.
