
Twee is a word that has escaped clear definition as well as the vocabulary of the masses generally regarded as not twee. Luckily, reporter Christopher Borrelli of
Chicago Tribune is on the case. Borrelli makes a concerted effort to explore twee-ness in it's various facets, providing compelling examples, adjectives and people considered twee. In fact, while the best explanation for the word may be the word itself (twee is twee), it would seem the very act of using the word makes a thing twee. Perhaps by even knowing twee exists, one becomes twee (see fig. 1).
Dean lives in a modest one-bedroom apartment with his dear wife and television. He studies and performs comedy here and there and is a big fan of wordplay, swordplay and pressing play.
